Resurrection Catholic School announces a change to the length of its school day beginning with the first day Aug. 28.
Students will attend from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., a 30-minute extension. As always, doors open at 7:30 a.m. to provide supervision for those who arrive between 7:30 and 8 a.m. The After School Program is available to all families and it will continue to provide supervision for students until 6 p.m.
“Adding Spanish to our curriculum last year took some time away from English Language Arts,” said Principal Brenda Weaver. “This is the most effective way to get that time back and to ensure our students get the best instruction possible in all areas.”
Core courses, including religion, language arts, math, science and social studies, are taught daily at Resurrection. Weekly classes include art, music, library, computer, physical education and Spanish supplement the curriculum, and field trips enhance the learning.
