Resurrection Catholic School opens its Family Fall Fest Nov. 17, 6-8 p.m., to anyone who wants to see what the school is all about because it has joined Lancaster’s Extraordinary Give. The Give, hosted by the Lancaster Community Foundation, is also Nov. 17.

Anyone is welcome to join this gathering that includes food, games for children of all ages, singing and pizza. The school theme this year is Family of Faith – Let Our Light Shine, and Principal Brenda Weaver said, “The event is to shine our light on families, friends and benefactors who bless us abundantly.”

Giving to Resurrection during the annual Extraordinary Give will help  fund a one-to-one laptop program for students in fifth to eighth grades. The school recently began fundraising to buy the devices by the fall of 2018.

The fest takes place in the school cafeteria and entry is through the lower level doors on the east side of the building. The school at 521 E. Orange St. is for K-8 students who share the opportunity to achieve excellence in a safe, happy and spiritually nurturing environment.
